Minimal Nation

Robert Hood is a producer and DJ from Detroit who has crafted his own unique minimal techno sound over the past 20 years. He was one of the founders of Underground Resistance (UR) with Jeff Mills and Mike Banks. In 1994 he released what became a very influential full length album on Jeff Mills’ Axis label called Minimal Nation. In the mid-90′s he started his own record label, M-Plant, where he has released mostly his own music, also under pseudonyms Monobox and Floorplan. Robert Hood played a live set at the MUTEK Nocturne 3 event which was excellent – driving, industrial, acid and minimal in just the right way. Today on the show I’m featuring a few tracks from his discography, I highly recommend checking out more of this music.
